Over $900,000 in GRP funds are available in fiscal year 2010. Noted Nashville artist Michael McBride talks about his journey in art during the free educational program of the Arts Council of Williamson County (ACWC), “Art: Up Close & Personal. McBride explains how he relates to his work, “Art provides a tool for communication between the viewer and me. Color is a major component in that communication, which can evoke different moods and ideas. I believe in presenting images that reflect positive ideas and situations. It is important for the viewer to see my work and view the contents based on their life experiences.” The Williamson County Public Library and O’More College of Design are co-sponsors for this series developed to educate students in the arts as well as those in the community who have an interest in the arts.
